Amendments to mandates in the South Peace Agreement.
Khartoum – Sudan August 7th, 2018 – Informed sources announced yesterday, the amendments entered the South Sudan Peace Agreement in the file of governance and power sharing led to the signing of opposition groups.
The source said: “Article 4 was added to the item consists of two items, the first speaks of a committee tasked with determining the number of mandates and ends its work within 90 days of the start of the pre-transitional period of eight months, after the competence of the Commission to delineate and determine the number of southern states. The sources stressed that the paragraph or item that was added is the formation of a technical committee of technicians from outside South Sudan whose task is to demarcate the boundaries of the states according to the tribal presence based on the borders of January 1, 1956, and submit its report to the other committee that is concerned with the number of states, and the duration of the technical committee 60 days calculated within 90 days for the Committee to determine the number of mandates.
